Open-source virtualisation · Egypt
If the VMware renewal no longer makes sense, you have options, and we will say so.
Proxmox clusters designed, migrated and operated by a team that also runs VMware. No licence to defend, so no reason to steer you wrong.
Why we can be trusted on this question
Most integrators recommending an open-source hypervisor have never run the commercial one at scale, or are recommending it because they cannot supply the alternative. We run both. VMware is the default across most of our virtualisation estate, and we have recently built on Proxmox where it was the better answer.
That means when we tell you to stay on VMware, it costs us a migration project. And when we tell you to move, it is not because we have nothing else to sell.
Open source is not new to us
We built a complete self-hosted software delivery platform for an enterprise outsourcing group, replacing commercial SaaS. Several of our largest engineering wins have been open-source builds that replaced a commercial licence, so this is a position we have actually delivered from, not a talking point.
What we deliver on Proxmox
When we will tell you to stay where you are
If your estate depends on tooling with no Proxmox equivalent, or the migration cost exceeds the licence saving over a realistic horizon, moving is the wrong call. We will show you that arithmetic before you commit to either direction.
Free virtualisation review, no obligation
Tell us your host count, workload profile and renewal date. We will show you what staying costs, what moving costs, and which one we would choose in your position.
