Network Administrator
Location: Smart Village, Giza, with travel to client sites in Cairo, Giza and Alexandria.
Type: Full-time, on-site.
Reports to: Technical Manager.
About the role
Stark Technology has looked after the networks of Egyptian businesses since 2016. As a Network Administrator you are responsible for the day-to-day health of client networks: campus LAN, Wi-Fi, firewalls and site-to-site VPNs, and for the projects that extend them. You will work across a range of client environments rather than a single estate.
What you will do
- Configure, monitor and troubleshoot switches, routers, firewalls and wireless controllers across client sites.
- Implement and maintain site-to-site and remote-access VPNs.
- Respond to network incidents within agreed service levels and follow them through to root cause.
- Deliver installation and migration projects end to end: survey, design, cabling coordination, configuration and handover.
- Keep network documentation, diagrams and configuration backups current.
- Work with the security team on firewall policy, segmentation and access control.
- Write clear updates for clients and escalate early when something needs it.
What we are looking for
- Two or more years administering business networks, in a managed-service provider or in-house.
- Hands-on experience with at least one enterprise firewall platform. Fortinet, Sophos or equivalent.
- Solid grounding in TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, DHCP and DNS, and enterprise Wi-Fi.
- Comfortable on the switch and router command line, not only the GUI.
- CCNA, Fortinet NSE or equivalent certification is an advantage, as is exposure to Microsoft 365 and virtualisation.
- Good written and spoken Arabic and English.
- Willing to travel to client sites and to take part in an on-call rota.
